Clapp Cards cannot be issued to users residing or registered in the following countries:
Belarus
China (Mainland)
Cuba
India
Iran
Iraq
Israel
Myanmar
Nepal
Nicaragua
North Korea
Russia
Syria
Turkey
Ukraine
Venezuela
Vietnam
Users from certain high-risk jurisdictions may also require additional compliance review before card issuance.
Restricted Card Usage Countries
Clapp Cards cannot be used for purchases or transactions in the following countries:
Cuba
Iran
North Korea
Russia
Syria
Ukraine
Venezuela
Prohibited Purchases
Clapp Cards may not be used for:
Purchasing or trading digital currencies
Drug-related purchases, including cannabis, CBD, and similar products
Payments related to dark web marketplaces or cybercrime services
Purchases from unlicensed online pharmacies
Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
Hazardous materials or chemicals without proper regulatory approval
Escort or similar adult services
Transactions with illegal or unlicensed auction platforms
Unregulated lending or payday loan services
Unauthorized personal data brokerage services
Purchase or trade of endangered species or wildlife products
Why Was My Card Transaction Declined?
A transaction may be declined if:
The merchant falls into a restricted category
The transaction is attempted in a prohibited jurisdiction
The activity triggers compliance or fraud prevention controls
These restrictions are imposed by our card infrastructure and compliance partners and cannot be manually bypassed.
